First day of school / Первый раз в первый класс

Today was Stacey's first class. She is now a real, honest to goodness, professor. At a real, large, university. Not that I understand why anyone would ever want to deal with college students, but she always wanted to, so congratulations!! I am very happy for you, and very proud of you!!

Сегодня Стэйси преподавала в первый раз. Она теперь настоящий професор, в настоящем, и большом, университете! Не то что бы я понимала желания учить студентиков, но так как она об этом мечтала, я за нее очень очень очень рада, и я ею очень горжусь!

She is a visiting professor, which not as good as a full professor. But considering that she has no teaching experience, this is a marvelous opportunity.
She is teaching at University of Houston.

Yes it is marvelous, professorship straight out of Ph.D. is unbelievable. She must be good at what she's doing! Congratulations again!
