1. On Saturday we got up at 5:30, because at 7:30 Katie had to be at her competition, dressed and in makeup. 
В субботу утром мы встали в 5:30, потому что в 7:30 нам надо было быть при полном параде на соревновании.


2. It took forever to get the girls dressed and pinned, and then they were off to warm up.
На одевание девочек ушла куча времени, а потом они убежали "разогреваться".


3. Last runs through, before getting on.
Последняя репетиция.


4. Although there was a fair amount of free time.
Но, с другой стороны, было достаточно свободного времени.


5. A prayer before the dance.
Молитва перед соревнованием.


6. Some more waiting. There was a lot of waiting.
А потом опять ждем. Мы много ждали.


7. And finally they are on. If you don't recognize her all made up, she is the second one from the left.
И наконец, сам танец. Если кто Катю при параде не признал, она вторая слева.


8. And then a quick change for the next dance.
А потом бегом бегом, переодеваться для следующего танца.


9. The school where the competition was held was big, it was probably about a half mile from the "dressing room" to the gym where they danced.
Школа, где проходило соревнование, была огромна, и из нашей "гримерной"  до танцплощадки было с полкилометра.  


10. The boots were a pain to put on, and a bother to wear.
Сапоги ужасно неудобно одевать, носить, танцевать, и вообще. Но что поделать.


11. Final run through. Katie was rather awful. At this point, 10 am, she was completely exhausted and spent. And since it was our first competition, we didn't think of bringing a sugary drink to pep her up.
Последняя репетиция. Катя была ужасна. К этому времени, 10 утра, она совсем вымоталась. И так как это было наше первое соревнование, мы не догадались взять с собой чего-нибудь сладкого выпить, для прилива энергии.


12. I was worried that she would totally mess up at the actual dance.
Я очень боялась что она совершенно все завалит в соревновании.


13. I was super proud when she came on and totally turned it on. It was easily the best I've ever seen her do this dance.
И теперь я ужасно ей горжусь. Она вышла, и полностью включила все что вообще возможно. Лучше она этот танец никогда не исполняла.


14. It's over, and everyone is happy.
Все закончено, все счастливы.


15. Katie got a rose from Simon, but it didn't make the picture. I got a rose from Stacey for doing all the clothes and make up and such.
Сеня подарил Кате розу, но в кадр она не вошла. А мне Стэйси розу подарила, за то что я макияжем, одеждой, итд занималась.


16. Katie thought that I should come see this.
Катя меня позвала, сказала что я это должна видеть.


17. I'd probably be more scared if I didn't do this kind of thing at his age, or haven't heard my grandma tell stories about my mom.
Я бы наверное больше волновалась, если бы сама тоже самое в его возрасте не вытворяла. И если верить моей бабушке, то моя мама тоже.


18. It's a nice place to hang out
А что, хорошее место.


19. Luckily she doesn't do this type of stunts yet.
Хорошо что эта девица пока не лазает.


20. Going for a walk.
А потом мы пошли на прогулку.


21. He seems to have grown up a lot in the last week.
Как-то Сеня очень подрос за последнюю неделю.


22. Still the same goofy faces though.
Но кривляется так же.


23. I don't remember last time he willingly took a picture with a normal facial expression.
Я уже не помню когда он добровольно фотографировался с нормальным лицом.  


24. Valentine's day card from grandma.
Открытки на Валентин, от бабушки.


25. Katie got to cut mushrooms for dinner. Next step, actually eating mushrooms, not sure when that's going to happen.
Кате дали порезать грибы. Следующий этап, поедание грибов, не знаю когда случится.
