OK, I know I am lazy, but here is a write up of our yesterdays visit to the genetics doctor
This was my first "regular" ultrasound, as in they lather my stomach, and have a thingy slide all over it. The bad thing is, I need to drink a lot of water in order for them to be able to see. The good thing is, the pictures come out pretty cool.
The sonographist(?) was extremely nice, and showed us all sorts of different thing. The baby was asleep, so in order to take some measurements, we needed to wake it up so it would turn over. As we all know, my child does not wake up just for nothing, and apparently pounding on my stomach qualifies as nothing. Eventually it lazily rolled over upside down, and gave us a great view of it's back, which made me look like a hen that is about to lay an egg.
The sonographist thinks the baby is a girl though :) We'll find out pretty much for sure in the next two weeks, and then I can start obsessing about names. In the same two weeks, they'll run all sorts of test on my blood, to verify that everything is OK with it. The doctor said that everything that can been seen and measured looked great, so now we just need to wait for blood results for confirmation.
Sorry I am not entertaining, and write on a fifth grader level, but I am tired and pregnant. So while I sleep, you can take a look at the pictures(if you click on them, they become bigger):
